Join us this Sunday for cake, fellowship, and gratitude!

There’s something wonderfully joyful about birthdays – they mark milestones, celebrate growth, and remind us of all the blessings that have unfolded over time. This Sunday, we have a very special reason to celebrate: it’s St. Matthew’s birthday!

A Time to Remember and Rejoice

As we gather to commemorate another year in the life of our beloved church community, we’re reminded of the countless ways God has worked through St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church here in Brecksville. From the faithful souls who first envisioned this parish to the vibrant congregation that fills our sanctuary today, we have so much to be grateful for.

Every Sunday, our community comes together at 8:30 am or 10:00 am to worship, learn, and grow in faith. But this Sunday will be extra special as we pause to celebrate the anniversary of our church and all the lives that have been touched through our ministry over the years.

What to Expect This Sunday

Following our regular 10:00 am service, we invite everyone to stay for a time of fellowship and celebration. We’ll be serving birthday cake – because what’s a birthday celebration without cake? – and sharing stories of God’s faithfulness in our community.

Whether you’re a longtime member, a recent visitor, or someone who’s been curious about joining us, this is a perfect Sunday to experience the warmth and welcome that defines St. Matthew’s. Our birthday celebration is open to all, and we’d love to have you be part of this joyful milestone.

Looking Forward with Hope

As we celebrate another year, we’re not just looking backward with gratitude – we’re also looking forward with hope and excitement for all that God has in store for our church family. The relationships formed here, the worship that lifts our spirits, the service opportunities that let us live out our faith – all of these continue to flourish and grow.

St. Matthew’s has always been a place where, as our welcoming statement says, whoever you are and wherever you might be in your spiritual journey, you are welcome as fellow travelers exploring a deeper relationship with God and a stronger spiritual life.
