John Keller

John is a unique spiritual leader with a gift for stepping into new environments. He specializes in interim ministry and has served as interim rector at 12 parishes. He grew up in Maryland and earned degrees at the University of Richmond, the Virginia Theological Seminary, The Presbyterian School of Christian Education, and the Leadership Institute of Seattle. He has served in parishes in many states across the East Coast, Midwest, and Southern regions of the US. He says his collection of cookbooks almost equals his theological library. Kay Rackley
Kay Rackley

Kay Rackley has been an Episcopal priest for over 24 years, most recently with Trinity Cathedral in Cleveland. Her mission is to work with churches in transition and to help seekers reframe their understanding of spirituality so it is more natural and integrated into their lived experience. She comes to St. Matthews when Stephanie Pace is on vacation and we love her refreshing approach to leading our services. She owns two beautiful Hungarian Pumis who compete in agility contests locally, regionally, and nationally.

Steve Bodey

Steve Bodey is St. Matthew's Verger. In this role, he makes sure that the worship services are flowing well, and organizes all the details such as readers, acolytes, ushers, audio visual, and music. This frees up Reverend pace to focus on the message and caring for the congregation. This is an official role in the Episcopal Church.

Matt is an accomplished violinist and joins us for special music. He is also a terrific football player!

Discovery Project

The Discovery Project uses St Matthew's as our location. We are a resource for students age 6 to 18 who are either home schooled or in a Hybrid in school/online program. We meet on Wednesday and Friday and offer hands on learning programs in a variety of subjects. We have about 60 students now, coming from across NorthEast Ohio. We run a 12 week Fall and 12 week Spring program. Interested in learning more? Call Kim Vann at (863) 255-8594 or write to her at mydicoveryproject@yahoo.com or kimberlylvann@yahoo.com

Girl Scouts

Troop 70865 started in 2017 as Daisies and meets at St Matthews. We started with 13 girls and 2 leaders from four different school districts who had preschool and a love for scouts in common. Today, we have 11 girls and 3 leaders. Nine of the girls are Juniors and 2 are Cadettes.

Shriners

Two different Shriners groups meet at St. Matthew's. The Shriners are a fraternity started 150 years ago founded on the values of brotherly love, fellowship, relief, fun with a purpose, and truth. They support Shriners Hospitals for Children®, a health care system dedicated to improving the lives of children... by providing pediatric specialty care, innovative research, and outstanding teaching programs. Children up to age 18 with orthopaedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate are eligible for care and receive all services in a family-centered environment, regardless of the patients’ ability to pay over 1.5 million children have been served by the Shriners.read more...
