The mystery of the spiritual life is that Jesus desires to meet us in the seclusion of our heart, to make love know to us there, to free us from our fears, and to make our deepest self known to us. If you spend time reflecting on this you will begin to see an interaction between God’s love and a constant growth in self-knowledge. Each time you let the love of God penetrate deeper into your heart, you will loose a bit of your anxiety, every time you shed a bit of your anxiety, you learn to know yourself better and long all the more to be known by your loving God. Love dispels all fear and leads to an authentic life of joy and fulfillment. God wants all of his children to be fulfilled, fully human, and to lead a life filled with love.
