Did you know? According to Debt.org, even though the United States is considered the richest country, millions of people still struggle with poverty. This reality hits close to home, with families right here in Brecksville and Broadview Heights facing challenges.
That’s why St. Matthew’s Church is excited to announce our partnership with Colony Cupboard, a resource room created by Campus Life, a local non-profit, specifically for students and families in the Brecksville-Broadview Heights School District.
Colony Cupboard aims to bridge the gap for students who might not have access to essential items like food, toiletries, school supplies, and even clothing.
Here’s how it works: students can discreetly fill out a form requesting the items they need, and volunteers will pack a bag for them. To ensure privacy and ease of carrying these items, we’re also looking for donations of drawstring bags.
Your support makes a difference!
We envision Colony Cupboard as a long-term resource for our community’s youth. Donations of non-perishable food items, toiletries, school supplies, and new or gently used clothing will go a long way in helping students succeed.
By working together, we can ensure that every student in our community has access to the essentials they need to thrive. Marian Hahn will be our contact to tell us when new supplies are needed. Stay tuned for more information on how you can get involved! You can also contact Alia Ayette (pictured below) for more information at aayette@campuslifecleveland.org.
